During last week's Fuel Cell Seminar and Exposition in Orlando, FL , Hydrogenics launched its new HD-30 fuel cell power module and the extended line of 90 and 180 kW FCPM products. The HD-30 on display at the Hydrogenics booth was received with great enthusiasm. The compact design of the unit surprised many and with an overall volumetric footprint of less than 125L it is no wonder. The Hydrogenics built stack plus fully integrated Hydrogenics balance of plant measures just 605 x 410 x 265 mm and features all the key benefits of our patented technology:

Hydrogenics delivers two HYPM HD12 to CIDAUT,a transport and energy research development centre for Spanish Metre-Gauge Operator FEVE(Ferrocarriles de Via Estrecha); Narrow Gauge Railways.

The 20 tonnetram is being powered by two 12 kW fuel cells, supplied with hydrogen from a rack of 12 canisters containing 105.6m3 of gas. The tram will be capable of carrying 20 to 30 passengers at a top speed of 20 kilometres an hour. They are planningto release this tram into service in Asturias next year.
