HyPM FUEL CELL POWER MODULE

Hydrogenics HyPM fuel cell power module establishes the benchmark in commercialized multi-kilowatt fuel cell power modules. The versatile HyPM has been recognized as a superior packaged fuel cell power solution by world leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators and is well-suited for today's early adopting markets over a wide range of applications.

HyPM's versatility is highlighted by its outstanding performance either as a standalone power generator or as a primary component in a hybrid configuration when combined with electrical storage devices such as batteries or ultracapacitors.

FEATURES:

  • Power output: 7, 14, 65 kW net
  • Advanced H2X fuel cell stack(s)
  • High performance and efficiency
  • Rapid dynamic response
  • Compact lightweight design
  • Onboard system controller and diagnostics
  • Comprehensive safety features
  • Modular/scalable design for a range of applications

BENEFITS:

Efficient
HyPM is designed with simplicity in mind. The minimization of moving parts and parasitic loads on the system results in an efficiency significantly higher than internal combustion power generation. Heat and moisture generated by the stack are recovered and recycled for inlet gas flows resulting in minimal discharge of water at low temperature.

Versatile
HyPM's versatility and available options make it very suitable for a wide range of transportation, stationary and portable applications. In particular, simplified and optimized controls allow for faster and smoother dynamic response from idle to maximum power, as required for mobility applications. HyPM is capable of interfacing with a variety of fueling and fuel storage methods.

Clean and quiet
HyPM is fueled by hydrogen. The only exhaust is water and moist air. The low pressure design ensures quiet operation while maintaining high performance.

Scalable
The modular design of HyPM allows scaling up for higher power requirements through a variety of configurations, e.g. series and parallel. The power module's compact foot print achieves this with a high degree of weight and volume efficiency.
