Job Description:

The Research Scientist’s role is to plan, monitor, analyze and report test of PEM Fuel Cell and PEM Electrolyzer stacks. Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and monitor performance and durability of PEM Fuel Cell and PEM Electrolyzer, on both component and stack level
  • Process test data, generate test reports, and present test results internally and externally
  • Collaboration with suppliers of stack components, including MEA, GDM, BPP, gasket, and hardware
  • Provide technical support to sub-system and system testing
  • Conducting literature and patent research for the latest technology development and breakthrough
  • Perform routine diagnostics and maintenance on the test components and equipment;
  • Other duties as required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrochemical system testing environment

‘Must Have’ Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of electrochemistry-electrochemical engineering, such as Fuel Cells or Electrolyzers
  • Experience of developing testing procedures for electrochemical tests and analyzing results
  • Analytical laboratory skills, including detailed knowledge of electroanalytical techniques and materials analysis
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • “Hands on” experience is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics is an asset
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW or HMI is an asset
